How to use the solver
- Tap a cell once for a sun, twice for a moon, and a third time to clear it. Enter only the symbols the puzzle gives you.
- Tap the small dot between two cells to add an = sign, tap again for ×, and a third time to remove it.
- Press “Give me a hint” to reveal one cell, or “Show full solution” to fill the whole board.
The rules in 30 seconds
- Fill every cell with either a sun or a moon.
- Each row and each column holds the same number of suns and moons — three of each on a 6×6 board.
- No more than two identical symbols may sit next to each other in a row or column.
- Cells joined by = must match; cells joined by × must be opposites.
Solving tips that actually help
- Look for pairs first: two suns side by side means the cells on both ends must be moons.
- Check gaps: a sun, an empty cell and another sun force a moon in the middle.
- Count as you go. Once a row has three suns, every remaining cell in it is a moon.
- Chain the signs: a run of = and × clues lets you express several cells in terms of one — solve that one and the whole chain falls.
- At the edges, an × between the last two cells of a row often decides the row when combined with the count rule.

What does the solver need from me?
Only what the puzzle shows before you start playing: the pre-filled suns and moons, and every = or × sign between cells. You don't have to enter anything you've placed yourself.
Why does it say more than one solution fits?
LinkedIn designs every Tango board to have a single answer. If the solver finds two, a symbol or sign is probably missing or in the wrong spot — compare your grid with the game.
When is a new Tango released?
A new Tango board appears every day at midnight Pacific Time, which is 9:00 in most of Europe. Our daily hints page goes live shortly after.
Does Tango require each row to be different?
No. Unlike classic binary puzzles (Takuzu), LinkedIn's Tango has no rule against identical rows or columns — only the balance, no-three-in-a-row and sign rules apply.
