The short version

We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't sell personal data. Screenshots you give our solvers are processed on your own device and never uploaded. The site is funded by ads served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies as described below.

Information we collect

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site secure and running, and are kept for a limited time.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to reply.

Solvers and screenshots

Our solvers and the screenshot reader run entirely in your browser. The images and grids you enter are not sent to our servers and are not stored.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

Children

hints.day is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
